7 Websites to Submit Your Blog Posts for More Traffic

With the following suggestions, that I myself personally am using, it’s important to engage with quality content (follow some users that used the same method before you is the key) – you get back what you give after all!

Bloglovin’

Bloglovin’ is a great place to discover new content as well as share your own blog posts. After creating an account, you can add the blogs you want to follow and you’ll receive their new posts in your feed.

You can claim your blog by inserting an html code into a new post that will look like this:

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Once claimed, your blog’s posts will automatically appear on Bloglovin’ for other users to follow and read.

You can also sign up to Activate by Bloglovin’ to find collaboration and sponsored opportunities.

Blogarama

Blogarama is a blog directory where you can submit your blog for free (but you must wait approval before starting being listed), or you can choose a paid plan that will allow increased visitors (because paid plans step up in listings).

Once you sign up and create your account you will have to wait their approval and you will get a simple string of code to add to a post on your blog, and the magic is done! You will receive an email confirmation everytime one of your post is added to Blogarama.

You can pay to have posts featured in homepage but the basic package is totally free (recommended for beginners) and should drive a decent amount of traffic back to your blog.

Mix (formerly Stumble Upon)

Mix replaced Stumble Upon last year and, whilst it doesn’t yet drive Stumble Upon’s same amount of traffic, it is still worth submitting your blog posts to.

After creating an account you can find other blog posts and also submit your own. You have to manually submit your content, but you can download the Chrome browser extension which allows you to submit your post at the click of a button.

Blog Post Vote Up

Blog Post Vote Up is a new website especially for bloggers that allows you to submit your own blog posts and vote for others that you like.

You can submit one blog post per day though this has to be done manually. It is worth the effort though, as it has started to drive a good amount of traffic for us. I’ve even got a post in the Top 10 at the moment!

Scoop.it

Scoop.it allows users to find content that interests them and share it to their social networks.

The free package allows you to add a limited number of links – once you reach the limit you can carry on adding content but the oldest ones will be deleted. If you want, you can pay to have all of your content featured.

You can download the Chrome browser extension to allow you to easily add your own content to Scoop.it.

Quora

You’ve probably heard of Quora but you might not know that you can use it to share your blog posts.

Quora is a platform to ask questions and connect with users who contribute quality answers.

You can search Quora for topics, find a question, answer with some useful and helpful tips/advice and add your blog link to direct people to more information.

It’s important not to spam the comments with your links – reply with insightful answers and add your link to the bottom for further reading.

Reddit

Reddit is the fifth most popular site in the US and 18th in the world, so if you’re not using it yet you should definitely give it a try.

If you haven’t used it before, Reddit is a collection of forums where people can share news and content as well as commenting on other user’s posts.

The front page (where every user wants their content to appear) shows a list of posts that are currently trending on the site, pulled from a variety of categories or ‘subreddits’.

You can share your own content but it’s important to engage with other users, read other people’s content and rate it.

Do you use any of these websites at the moment to promote your blog posts? If not, which ones are you going to sign up to?

I’d love to hear from you if you’re receiving a lot of traffic from any of these?
